Poor Girl Sugar Cookies

...although butter sure isn't cheap. Sheesh! Anyway, these are easy, at least...and I LOVE easy. Also, they really are delicious!

1/2 pound butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cardamon
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon water

Cream butter and sugar until...well, creamy. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend well. The mixture will look crumbly, but take a spoonful and form into a 1" ball. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Press to 1/4" flat, using the bottom of a glass that has been coated with sugar. Bake at 375 F until bottoms are golden brown, about 9 to 12 minutes, but be sure to check frequently because when they start to brown, they brown fast! Let cool, and enjoy!

And speaking of enjoyment--want to win a super-awesome shirt with your FAVORITE Etsy team's logo on it? (Your favorite Etsy team being Wichita Handmade, of course!) I bet ya do.
