Falling Down Again

Once again I find myself not keeping up the blog, and for no good reason. But I saw my babies yesterday and wanted to share some pictures! Also, I've decided I need to start drawing again. There was a time when I did real "art," but I just sort of...quit. :( No more! I'm going to be practicing, practicing, practicing, and perhaps will share some of that on here as well...um, maybe.

Looong Weekend Revue

Started my basket on Thursday, finished it...Friday? Or Saturday? I can't remember!! The days sort of ran together. Anyway, it does fit nicely on the head, but is sitting on the floor, filled with embroidery stuff, current knitting projects, and things to be mended.

Went to the Mosley Street Market on Saturday! It's a weekend thing, and has been going on for 3 weeks now, so it is just getting started. However, found an absolutely dreamy, handmade soy candle from Good Stuff Inc., and an adorable, handmade horse wallet from a lady who I don't think had a card or anything, and I'm sorry to say I couldn't tell you her name. :( Her prices were ridiculously low, though. She sat there and sewed while watching her booth...look for her!

Worked on a goat fence and took goat pictures for a friend...while the horse and little goats "helped."

Took a deep breath.

Painted this today.  May have to keep it...

Also blogged at the Wichita Handmade blog.

Finished my wallets.... (see previous post.)

Tutorial on fusing plastic: soon!!!  I promise.

Saturday Activities

What I Did Today!
a very short picture essay by me.

Shopped at Needle Nook.  I love this place but rarely go because it's not as close as other stores, and I either forget or just don't have the time.  Which is sad because the close stores are the big ol' chain stores.  I am going to make a conscious effort to go here more often; not only because it's a locally run shop, but because the prices are awesome, and the fabrics are cute!  And if you want lace, elastic, or similar notions, THIS is the place; incredible variety.  I think I'm gonna make me some drawers with the rainbow elastic I purchased.

Then some gardening--no planting, just tilling and hoeing.  Everything's coming up and already starting to look like what they're supposed to look like!  Ah, they grow up so fast...

And of course we had to visit the girls.

Then, at about 10:00pm, I fried up some eggplant!!  It was excellent, but it was still supermarket produce.  I can't wait until we get our homegrown eggplants.
