It's . . . . . .

. . . . . . GIVEAWAY TIME!!!!

The lovely "Momoka Knit Cuff" is hand knit from a silky soft yarn (50% superfine acrylic/50% superfine polyester) in a cheerfully sweet peach color! It is a lace pattern, and features to funky retro-style buttons with a brown and yellow plaid print. It is adjustable depending on where you fasten the buttons, any size up to 9"!

Wanna enter?? First you must read my ramblings!!! :

Okay, here's why I'm changing the blog. It's not that I don't like it, and I'm not trying to make it better, necessarily, but it just doesn't feel right, you know?? I have received compliments on how lovely it is and I really do appreciate that, and I think it's lovely myself, but it's not my ideal blog ("ideal," of course, being very relative!)

What do I want? A little less stiffness maybe, a little more personality. Not, like, SUPER-personal, (I'm not going to start discussing Aunt Mabel's rash with you or anything), but I want to loosen up a bit, and for it to be a bit more "me." It's not that I haven't been myself on here. It's just that I've only been my "business" self, I think.

And this is a goal I may not achieve, but I'm going to try. So I'm going to try to blog at least 5 times a week, even if I don't think it's the least bit interesting! Yay for my readers, right?! Well, practice makes perfect... ;)

So, this is how to enter this week's giveaway!

I usually allow up to three entries, but in this contest I would like to limit it to TWO per person.

Ways to enter:
  1. in one comment, give me some advice! what is your favorite writing exercise, what motivates you, or inspires, etc.? (don't worry if someone has posted your idea before you, just put it down again!)
  2. to enter again, blog or tweet or even post this giveaway on your facebook status to spread the word and let me know in a separate comment.
GOOD LUCK!

{ I forgot to mention: the winner will be drawn on Saturday, January 30th. Sorry about that! }

  1. Ek! I'm so excited your having another giveaway! My only advice for the blog itself is maybe a background colour, even if its something just as neutral like a light beige or something...but I get my inspiration from reading, I just finished 'the witch of portebello' which is a new favourite, or just surf online, look at different products and ask yourself how would you rework that? play off contradictions and patterns, the recession is all about colour and just making it work! :)

  3. What about a photo of youself? I'm not saying anything too big - just something on the side so us readers know what you like.
I participated in Blogtober last year, where I blog everyday in the month of october - made me write about things I wouldn't normally write... or participate in "my creative space".... or just something that makes you step outside your comfort zone.
My blog needs a make over too - just waiting for the inspiration and the right time to do it.
Good luck Folk and thanks for the giveaway

  8. one of my favorite writing prompts is to take a bunch of random words...hat bell red grass tire dog toe radio heart mouse tree gold...etc. put them all on scrap papers put in hat and draw two out. that will be the title of whatever you write and you tell a story about those two items or write about the thoughts or memories they may evoke. great excersize for when you are stumped for ideas. :D
    Hope that's a helper.
    Ciao.

  10. I find what inspires me the most is really just browsing through other crafty blogs. I love being a part of an online craft community.

I like what you have done to your blog recently.(especially the new banner!) I guess the only thing I could suggest is maybe some spiffy borders for the banner and side bar buttons?
