Little Things

I feel like I'm constantly in motion but don't really get anything accomplished.  So what do I do but promise myself I'm going to take the time to blog at least every other day!

I've decided I need to knit myself a stole.  Something very simple to knit, but interesting.  In a chunky yarn, but lacy so that it won't be stifling on a chilly summer evening.  And not the usual blah brown I go for, but something with a little bit of spice--not TOO much, of course.

So I've settled for an easy lace pattern in the Vogue Knitting Stitchionary; pattern #109, called--get this--"lace pattern."  Because there are only 50 other lace patterns in the book...hehe.

And this morning, I decided to play with some polymer clay and make lil' tags to include in my orders.

Ba Da Ba Ba BAAAA!!!!

Yeah...I hate the McDonald's theme song, but that's part of the reason I like to sing it.  Okay--the only reason.  BUT, I am LOVING this wrislet created by my awesome friend, Mandi of redplanet.etsy.com!  Not only is it colorful, adorable, and has an awesome name, but it's sooooo functional!  I love it when something actually works while it looks good....

Because I Am Kind of......

Lazy.  Or I forget.  I don't know, but at any rate, I am an irresponsible blogger.  So here's a random assortment of things, until I muster the energy to create any kind of substantial or in-depth post.  And I'm having a little bit of a snow day--even though I "work" from home.

Our little sprouts!  Tomatoes, chives, hollyhocks, and some other things.

Socks I'm working on...

Bracelet that I LOVE made from reclaimed vintage skirt hem...(available at the shop, of course.)

My New Love: SPATS!

Who knew something could be so adorable?  I think I'll keep this pair.  They are sweet and simple, and the first I've ever made.  The pattern could use some improvement, but still, I think they're fab!  {I apologize for the dreadful quality of the pictures.}

Freehand Embroidery - Mushrooms

Just some little things I'm working on.  :)

Seed Stitch Cotton Coasters

I've been knitting these simple little coasters like mad.  It's a great way to use up some of the miles and miles of Sugar'n Cream and Peaches & Creme I've got accumulated around here!

Cast on 16 stitches on to size US 7 needles.  Work 23 rows in seed stitch/moss stitch, bind off.
